I decided to start a blog on here for the non-myspacers to keep you updated on our life!
We arrived in Stillwater, OK a few hours ago to stay the night with my cousins Jason and his wife Kristen. They are the ones who have turned me on to blogspot.com. Anyhow, we went to dinner at an Italian place and it was good. We are now sitting in the living room watching Jason and Delvin play video games. And I am reminded of exactly why Delvin shouldn't have a game system! However, I was at the mall with my friend Beth and we were letting the kids play on the playground (its indoor and kid friendly material)...and I saw a booth that was selling one of those plug and play game systems. This one is really neat because it has the GOOD old school games...tetris, duck hunt and mario brothers are 3 of my faves! So I bought it and we have played it just about every evening after I put Hunter to bed!
Anyhow, we leave in the morning to head to Kansas. We are so excited to FINALLY be making it up there! We have really tried hard for months. But between Jan and March Delvin had to take so much time off of work....basically a total of about 2 months between having HUnter and losing Jean, Chuck and MeMaw. So they have had Delvin swamped with work. He is always on call and even when he isnt scheduled they will ask Delvin to take other days. But it pays the bills and I am just thankful that with the economy that he has a good job and that I am afforded the oppurtunity to stay home and raise Hunter. We will be up there until wednesday and then head home that day to make it back for Thanksgiving at my brothers this year! But we are really excited. We really miss everyone...and wish we could drive all over visiting everyone.
My baby is almost 10 months old. I say baby but he is so much like a toddler! He is all over the place...trying to walk. He doesnt like to be in his walker much but he loves to push it. He is so strong and tough. And HANDSOME. That boy melts me. He doesnt like baby food. Havent been able to get him to eat it for the past month and a half...so I stopped buying it! He would rather have regular food. And thats fine with me because he eats so well. He doesnt like to be fed. He only likes feeding himself. He eats a chicken nuggets happy meal himself! Noone can believe that he is just 9.5 months old because he is so advanced. He talks ALOT...(just like his mama) He says mama, dada, earl, bye bye, night night, bite....it goes on. Its cute! When I was trying to lay him down tonight...yes I said trying...he doesnt want to go to bed....he was yelling night night dadda night night dadda! My little man is so big!
I attached some picture. One is our family picture that we just had done. I will have more when I get home to get my mail, but this is one she posted for voting. I love it. And the other is of my cheerleaders. I had a great season with them. And I made
coach of the year! I was so excited! And very proud. I will be doing it next year....even if I am out there with a big belly! (we are probably going to be working on baby #2 at that point! )
My sister is having surgery on the 25th (my birthday by the way!!) Hopefully she will be able to hear again. She has really struggled with being deaf. Its been really hard on her...especially when she cant even hear her kids. Well...thats all I got for now. I better try again at getting Hunter to sleep so I can get ready for bed too! Hope everyone is well! Love ...thecurtiscouple
