I am an IDIOT!

At 6 p.m. tonight, after a long hard day with Hunter (he way very fussy and clingy to me to the point of like digging into my skin to keep me from putting him down) I decided that I just cant deal with the clutter in the front office anymore. So I pull EVERYTHING out and start over in there. Delvin and I both are very bad (embarrassed to admit) about picking a room to be a catchall..The idea of the front office is for me to store and utilize my scrapbooking stuff. But it has became a room for that, Delvins work crap, car seats (not sure why, Hunter isnt in an infant seat anymore and there are 3 int hat room!) So anyway, I just couldnt take anymore avalanches going in there to grab things that I need so I conquered it. I have finished the majority of it, with just a few boxes on the kitchen table to go through. But another thing I started today on top of the front room and my regular daily stuff...take the christmas tree down. I usually keep it up til new years day, but I just wanted it down and out of the way for Hunters toys, since they multiply daily it seems. So all the christmas decor and ornaments are everyhwere waiting to be stored, but I dont feel like doing it. I cleaned the kitchen just now and then said ok, I am taking a break...but dont feel motivated to continue!

I want to start the new year off with being clutter free and just not keeping around stuff that has no purpose. We have been talking about buying a house this year. I hope we do, but have to find somethign that we can close on in like oct-nov...because our lease isnt up til then. I would really liek to NOT have a 2 story for 1...but Id really like 2 living areas so that Hunter can have a play room. Toys are taking over my living room. We have found a few that we would love to have, but will see if they are still on the market later...

Ok, well I better head to bed and get some rest. I decided that I will finish this mess up tomorrow!

2008 is wrapping up...pretty good

Well Jason and Kristen arrived Friday early afternoon. We just hung out at the house and had my brother and his wife, younger brother and cousin anthony and his son mark over for a night of food on the grill! Delvin made lobster, crab legs, shrimp, tuna steak, steaks, potatos, tomatos...and some other good stuff. It was amazing as always. We were all supposed to play Cranium, but somehow the guys weezled out of it and went down to the game room to play poker til 3 am! Kristen, Lisa and I (after I put Hunter to bed) layed around on the couches and watched marathons of dirty jobs and ruby! lol.

Sat we decided we were going to go to the Dallas Aquarium. We drive there, pay $5 to park...stand in this long line, pretty excited because I love fish and Hunter loves them too...and I guess I read the website wrong because it wasn $5 a ticket..it was about $20. We decided against it! ...So then we decided that we would go to the market hall in dallas where an emergency liquidation was going on ...it was supposed to have electronics super cheap...well we go to the place, it has been moved...so we drive all the way back over to the aquarium where the new location was ...pay $8 to park. Get out, get Hunter loaded in the stroller...and this guy comes up to us and says, yall arent goin in there are yall...well yea!...he said dont waste your time. The best thing in there is a sham wow!...And its 8 bucks a person to just get in. So we debated it and decided against that because you can get shamwows on tv for the same price as what tehy were selling it and actually get double the set plus all the cool free stuff advertised with it...if we really wanted that. We were hoping to find digital cameras or something. So anyway, forget that! So...we had paid $13 bucks in parking and STILL havent done anything. We did however show them where Kennedy was killed and some other landmarks. Anyway after all of it, we decided to go to Sam Moon and shop around. The guys got some clothes and some protector for their phones and Kristen got some jewelry and a sign for their house, me a wallet. It was fun. But windy! And kinda frustrating because most places at sam moon, dont allow strollers on saturdays. Hunter is too heavy to carry everywhere, and I will not leave the stroller just sitting out alone!...lol. Anyway, we leave there, head back to ft worth to meet cory and lisa for dinner. Had to kill some time so we decided to show them the new cowboys stadium...and soon after almost got into an accident...because some crazy wanted to ram us and instead threw us off the road. We called him in, but who knows if anything happened from it. I am so thankful nothing did...especially with my baby in the car. I was really nervous afterwards. Props to Delvin for his wonderful driving to keep us safe. But we went to eat and then Cory and Lisa invited us to go skating. SKATING...and the memories of Holiday Skatium on fri nights came back. My friends and I loved going. It was fun. Delvin and I didnt skate...we played some video games. But Kristen and Jason did ...and everyone else of course. Pictures soon! Even Hunter got to Skate in his stroller, my brother and his wife pushed him around some in it! It was so cute, and he really lliked it.

Today Jason and Kristen went back home. Had a good time with them. My dad called and asked if he could pick Hunter up...and so after he came and got him for the day, Delvin and I went to the movies which is our favorite thing to do together, that of course is rare now! We saw Marley and Me. What a great movie! Delvin and myself were crying and laughing...and crying alot! And I looked aroudn and noticed everyone was. It reminded us of our little life with Earl. Especially when we first saw him and fell in love...and the puppy time where they tear up everything! .... Its alot of ups and downs in your relationship...because your so frustrated when things are tore out and its a big test of patience. And Earl gets yelled at sometimes for just doing dumb stuff like getting sick in the house or taking food. But he really is the best dog. He loves us so much. Loves huNTER...Loves people. He is so sweet and fun. I am excited to have the kids grow up with him. He is our family. I dont care what anyone says about how I treat him like my own kid. He is...I treat him kind and love him. When I have had sad moments...Earl is always there to just lay with me and offer his ear and kisses.

Anyhow...my baby is 11 months old now. Christmas night he decided to suprise us and walk. I have worked so hard with him and he finally did it! But of course we got all excited and scared him...as I am running for the video!...But he did it again today. He just keeps getting bigger everyday! My handsome boy! Now its time to think about his first birthdaY! Cant believe it! ...well off to bed! Morning comes early here!

Christmas YEAH!!!

I love Christmas! I love spending time with family and just seeing everyones smiles when they open up something. I feel like I am a very giving person...and so it makes me feel good to give someone a gift. But we all know the reason for the season...and what an AWESOME God! We are so blessed!

It was of course Hunters first Christmas. He got alot of stuff. Alot of cute clothes. He really had a good time today. I had to wake him up and he didnt want to be up! He didnt cry or anything just wanted me to hold him so he could sleep! lol. But I showed him what Santa brough which was a train and rocking horse. And he was pretty excited! He looked at me like...you finally let me close to the tree mom! But he really liked it. He loved everything. My nephews had a great time. Between all of us and my sister and her husband...they made out like bandits. My parents were very happy to have all their kids and grandkids under one roof. It becomes less and less. We are a close family, its just that everyone has their own lives going on. Everyone works and has stuff they are committed to. So it was really nice. We really enjoyed it. Even Earl! Yes...Santa loves dogs! He got a stuffed dog that says bow wow wow yippie yo yippie ya! ...and a bunch of balls and rawhides. So he has been having his own fun today. Plus all the boys being here...had him going down the slide and running around the back yard! And even though Memaw wasnt here physically, I know she was here watching us.

The BEST part about today....HUNTER WALKED ON HIS OWN! ...After everyday of me trying to walk with him and let go for him to go on his own....I mean he pulls up so good without anything around him and walks along everything ....today we were all sitting around watching tv waiting on dinner to finish up and he was at his table eating his food...anyway he gets up and takes a step and Im like ok he does that everyday! But he just kept going until me the idiot got SUPER excited and yelled with excitement as I am looking for the camera to record this moment and he fell! But he did so well and I was so proud. What an amazing gift to get for Christmas. Ill never forget that moment! It seems like just yesterday I was all excited when he pulled up without holding on to anything...and before that holding on to something, befoer that crawling...and sitting up...I remember all of it. And its amazing how fast it happens! My baby will be 1 next month! Gosh...I love him!

Anyway MerryChristmas Everyone!

My cousin Jason and his wifey Kristen are coming in tomorrow, so we are going to have a fun weekend with them. Hope everyones Christmas was great.

Taco and more

Ok..My cousins wife Kristen wrote a blog talking about a taco craving she was having and how she got one and it was really disappointing because it was just a plain taco that she could have gotten at taco bell (she went to a restaraunt I believe) anyway...I went to Taco Bueno. I love Taco Bueno, I think mostly because its right down the street from us. But I love muchacos...and tacos. Anyhow, I bought a taco, because after reading her blog, for a week my mouth has been watering for a good taco. I was disappointed! It didnt taste very well. So the next day Im like I gotta try this again. Oh gosh...I took a bite out of one and it was filled with jalepenos and hot sauce, I love hot spicy food..but its not what I ordered. I ordered a regular crunchy taco! So I had ordered 2 that day...so I took a bite of the other...it was burning hot...filled with hot grease. OUCH. So after that I just wasnt pleased. But NOW I am craving a taco again, so I think I am going to talk Delvin into hitting up Fuzzy Taco for dinner tonight! Mmmh...I hope I dont get disappointed
This weekend we went to my cousins daughters 1st birthday party at chuckee cheese. It was so much fun. Hunter had a great time. When Chuckee came out he was smiling from ear to ear. And when the music got really loud for the birthday dance and song deal...he was dancing and singing along. It was so cute. I loved watching him so happy. And he loves pizza...so he was very happy to eat his pizza. It made me want to have his birthday party there, but I dont want to spend that much money when he is only a year old.I mean, he had a blast but he cant really enjoy all the games. So maybe for his 2nd or 3rd we will do it there. I take him about once a month during the week and its not crowded and its cheap...he has fun. But I think we will be having his birthday party on jan 31st at our house! I am pretty set on doing a mickey mouse clubhouse theme! Should be cute! Anyway thats all for now. I cant wait for Christmas! Have a merry one!

"My First Christmas In Heaven"
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmaschoir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voicesbring.
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christthis year.

We miss you so much...the holiday season has been tough being the first one that wont be shared with yall.
Love and miss you sooo much...Delvin, Heather & Hunter

Mommy Baby Day

Hunter and I were invited to a mommy baby play date yesterday. We had a really good time. 2 of my good friends Heather and her daughter Hayden and Lauren and her baby boy Gabe Jr were there. ANd it was "hosted" at a very nice womens house-Christina and she has a baby boy named Ryan. All of the kids are about a month apart. They played so well together. They fought though over the walk/push toy. So next time, we all need to bring our own. So they all have one! Hunter has 2 and he loves them. We ate pizza and cookies and just had girl talk. It was really nice because even though I didnt know Christina ....Lauren and Heather did and she knew of most of the people we knew of. So we had plenty to talk about. After Christmas, we are going to try and get together once a week for a mommy baby day!

Last night we went to my mom and dads for some chile. What a great dinner for this chilly weather! We watched the finale of Biggest Loser. I am SOOOOO GLAD that Michelle won. She wasnt visicious like some of the others and was very genuine . But I think this was the best season as far as results. EVERYONE looked amazing. And what the heck...I didnt know Allison Sweeny was pregnant. But she looks great. I cant wait until Jan for the new season! Its the biggest people so far! Anyway, I think I am goign to join the biggest loser club. I want to lose weight before baby number 2 comes. So...I better get on that!

I am so emotional lately. Everytime I watch tv I cry. When we came home from the hospital with Hunter for about 2 months after, I watch a baby story and bringing home baby on TLC faithfully everyday...and I would sit and cry and cry....I was going through all the emotion of it again with all these ladies. Never affected me before I had HUnter! But then I got ok. NOw I am back on the bandwagon of being a complete baby. I just cried over a lifetime movie mr and mrs clause because they got married. No reason to cry. lol. Anyway, sounds like Hunter is up from his nap and I need to head to the post office! Fun Fun!

Weekend with my nephews.

We had a great weekend with my nephews. My sister had her coclear implant surgery last week so the boys came to stay with us. We picked them up friday afternoon and just came home and kicked back. And then Saturday we took them to the zoo with my older brother and his wife, my little brother, my cousin Tony and his son Mark and some friends of my brothers. We had such a good time. The boys love going to the zoo. Sean and Hunter kicked back in the double stroller and just took it all in. Sean was more about watching the people walking by, and Hunter was all about the animals. Especially the penguins. We spent probably 20 min just looking at the penguins and then another 20 min at the tigers. Everyone loved the tigers. Delvin and I and the babies left early because we had to get home and get the grill started for our friends that were coming over for dinner. Brent and Kyle stayed with Uncle Cory and Aunt Lisa...and they bought them stuffed tigers on a leash! But Delvin had to drive back to the zoo and take Lisa her purse that we had in the stroller because it had her keys! ...so he picked up the boys from there. The boys were so excited about their tigers. Anyhow so our friend Sean and 2 of his kids, Matt and Jade (Jade was one of my cheerleaders-thats how we met them) But anyway they came over and Delvin and Sean decided they were going to cook a bunch of stuff on the grill. So we had beef fajitas, sausage, beer can chicken, lobster, king crab legs and huge shrimp. We ate all of the seafood right off the grill. It was AMAZING. The kids loveed the sausage and had a good time playing. Then on Sunday we really just kind of kicked back and played with the kids and watched some tv...and I actually got to take a nap! Which was much needed. Anyway...so we had a good weekend.

Family Pictures

I love our photographer. She is such a sweet person. She is really good with Hunter. And she offers mini sessions for just $25 (going up next year but thats ok!) So we have done all that she has offered, except for the fire fighter sessions because we were out of town. But I LOVE pictures and of course especially of my cutie pie Hunter. I am not into taking pics anymore of myself. Dont really like to be in pictures. But I do believe its important. When MeMaw passed, I remember us all going through her trunk of pictures and she always had family pictures done and kept updated pics of her and grandad...and it was just nice to go through all the years and see how memaw and granddad looked when they were young and how my mom and aunts and uncles looked and even us grandkids. And I just realized how important it is to keep up with that. Because I love looking at pictures and I remember going through pics with memaw all the time and she always loved getting pics of her grandkids....and we all bonded so well that night going through her pics trying to find the perfect ones for her video. I want to create and share the same memories with my kids. Ok...I better shut up...Im crying now. I cant believe that its been almost a year since MeMaw passed. Its been especially hard for the holidays because we always had her. Last year she was in the hospital for both Thanksgiving and Christmas so we took dinner to her. And spent some time and it really just broke her heart. She loved the family get togethers. Thats when everyone could pretty much suck it up and be together for her. And as I get done with Christmas, I gotta start planning Hunters first birthday...and it makes me think about when I told Memaw I was pregnant with Hunter and she said oh baby your going to be a great mom. I dont worry about you because you got your stuff together and you have a great man. And she always would touch my belly and say oh he kicked me. I am so thankful that Hunter got to meet her. I know he wont remember it, but it truly meant the world to me. I went to see her at the hospital at least 6 days a week when she was in the hospital and she would say Honey I hope you dont feel like you have to come by I know you have a life. Id tell her, Memaw, I want to be here. Nowhere else is more important. Us grandkids were so lucky to have such an awesome beautiful inside and out memaw! Ok...enough tears for everyone!

He LOVESSSSS PIZZA!!!!

Its been a while....

Hunter enjoying some yummy
Thanksgiving dinner

So, I havent posted as much as I said I would when I decided to start this blog. But I truly have been pretty busy. We had Thanksgiving, which went really well at my brothers. Lots of Yummy food! And after that it seems like I have had one thing after another. I have my christmas shopping done. I try to have that done by at least the first week of December. But I watch a child that is 4 months older than Hunter. So they keep me pretty busy. He is a great kid, just as Hunter is. But I do believe that the terrible 2's have started for both of them. Especially Hunter. They are into EVERYTHING. But with the great invention of baby gates, I can keep them off the stairs, from going out of the living room and away from the christmas tree and presents! Hunter plays so good with his toys. He has some big little tikes trucks that I have bought him and he has a blast pushing them back and forth across the floor. From one end of the room to the next. He has now started pushing his activity tables everywhere too. He is so strong! LOL. We are thinking that he will be walking by Christmas, but we could be wrong. We thought he would be walking right now with as well as he does holding onto stuff and pushing his toys and holding my hand. But we are working with him. He will get it. He is about 50% off the bottle. I want him to be 100% off by the time that he is a year. He does fine, he doesnt seem to really care. I found a really great sippy cup at Target a few weeks ago. Its one with a straw. I know everyone has seen them before...but these are different. Its a lighter weight cup, easier to hold, no spill straw that doesnt move...He loves to drink from a straw. So this cup is great. I found that the other ones that are out like Gerbers and Playtex are heavier. And this one was cheaper, so I can get 2 for the price of 1 of the others! Another thing we are working on is him sitting at the table and eating like a big boy. I have bought 2 little tikes picnic tables (why 2) well if you know me there is ALWAYS kids here! Plus I got both for just $10 cant beat that! Anyway...so i sit him there and put his food on there (because Mr Independent does NOT want to be fed!) Sit his sippy cup up there and sit hiim down and he will sit there and eat until he is done and then get off. He is doing so well. He is quite the little dancer too...he watches playhouse disney in the am and he is always dancing along and he has rhythem! He loves the Doodlebops (I have a guilty pleasure for them too") But my nephew Kyle came over and told me that they are NOT real rockstars. LOL. He is hilarious. Which by the way...my nephews were telling my sister that there werent enough presents or something under the tree and my sister went on to tell them that they should be thankful for what is, because there is many kids that dont have anything. And that presents arent the reason for the season...told them about Jesus and the gifts and said that Jesus makes Santa special to bring gifts to all the boys and girls that are good. But that some kids didnt get gifts. And Kyle said well I would like to give them one of Brents gifts. My sister told him you dont give away other peoples stuff. So Kyle said well I will give them something when I am older. LOL. He is such a ham. I always go down to the mall and get an angel off the tree and buy for the kid. Which I havent done yet...need to get to the mall...but all of us are sick right now! But I am going to go through Hunters toys and see what I can take down to the salvation army. He has alot of toys. Too many and he is getting more for Christmas...It just breaks my heart to drive past the salvation army and see children and babies with their moms just sitting against the building waiting for it to let them back in. Anyway I better cut this hear. I just heard that my cousin Jason and his wife Kristen are coming in for CHristmas. That is awesome news. I always miss them!
