Dont you love the smile!?

People were just packing in and being very rude, so Delvin said either he will get tired of me up against his butt, or he will move. It took a long time for this guy to move, BUT Delvin finally got some os his space back

I just now got to doing this post. Poor Hunter baby has a double ear infection and upper respiratory infection

Jason came to visit last sunday and stay a few days with us. He asked us about going to the Cowboys first game about a month ago, and we were up to going-so he ordered the tickets and we got party deck pass tickets. We werent sure what this meant, we just knew that we would be there. So a few days before the game, Jason gets an email saying they will be standing seats, so ok, it wont be that bad, lets just do it. We were so excited...got there early-so we thought! about 3-4 hrs before kick off. Parking was HORRIBLE. YOu have to expect that, but it was worse then we thought. Not just the distance we had to park from the stadium but the prices. So we thought 30 bucks for a ticket wasnt so bad, but 50 bucks to park! OMG. And that was still far away, we could have been close for 100! So we walk all the way to the stadium(I think my house is closer then the walk from where we parked!) We could only go in 1 entrance. We get in and we have to keep moving upstairs because there was no where to stand, and there were signs that you had to be behind the poles or move to a deck or outside. So anyway we get up to a big deck and decide ok this is where we are going to stay, we found a table and claimed it early since it was already packed. That was OUR table. We take turns goign to get food which was $$$$ and water for 5 bucks! Ouch! anyway we get set in our spot and it felt like 10 hours before kick off. They made this big deal about the roof opening and it took a LONG time to open! Plus when the roof opens, the sides open to the decks, it was so hot. but anyhow as it got near kick off, we got overwhelmed with people. People just kept packing in and I was feeling so violated. So we decided 1st quarter we would go outside because it would probably be cooler and alot more space. Plus Delvin got into it with this arrogant guy who was running his mouth and pushing us and then Jason finished it! I also got tired of the 2 couples next to me getting it on! And really got tired of feeling like I was at a club. I was there to watch a football game not pole dancers and I coudlnt see the field or the big tvs!
Anyway we go outside find a place to park our bottoms and it was very packed out there too, but at least it was cooler. However----we didnt see the game because the tvs were showing what we could see at home on our own tv...but people at home saw more than we did! We saw every commercial, but when it came to goign back to the game....it kept freezing up and then be back up in time for commercials. And I am sorry but when you pay to get in the game and they wont let you inside because they are at capacity...they better show the same thing you would see on the tvs inside. And they better get some restrooms out there. Once we were outside we couldnt go back in..RIDICULOUS. So we left at half time to beat the rush of people and traffic and I think it was the best idea. But there were alot of people leaving at that point as well. They better do something about the party pass....like put seats in there. lol. They had a lounge couch but people dont like to sit like sardines and it could fit about 20 people. You couldnt take a break and sit along the side somewhre because it was a fire hazard! WHAT? I would think as many people as were packed in there woudl have been a fire hazard! BUT we left there feeling good about a few things, 1...we were there for the first game of the season in the new stadium. 2. we lived and learned and know for next time. But I think it will be a good few yrs before we head back to the stadium! We left there and got some fuzzy tacos...YUMMMY!
Monday we got up and I ran to get Hunter and run some errands but came back and we were bums until night time-we had family over and cooked on the grill. And I must say, IT WAS AWESOME! I have never had squash and we had butternut and acorn squash. So good. So anyway, we had a great visit cant wait to see Jason again and hopefully Kristen can make it next time too!!!

Here are a few pics I wanted to share of the stadium and our experience!

(SORRY THEY POSTED AT TOP! STILL DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THIS!

Frustration

I need to vent.
What the heck did I do to anyone? I mean seriously? I have always been a girl that values time with her family and would prefer to be with her family than her friends. I mean, I grew up that way, I loved being with my gparents, loved being with my aunts and uncles and cousins and my parents and siblings... I never caused any problems with any of them. I never started any crap...HOWEVER it seems I seem to still be drug under for it. No I am not just whining and saying it to have something to say. I have noticed how my family is. And I dont like it. I hardly see any of my family anymore. Granted, things were alot better when MeMaw was around. But-it definitely started years ago. Everyone seemed to always want to leave their kids with me so they could run off and have fun, and everyone wanted help from me since I was reliable and I would do it to spend time with them. Oh but my wedding for instance-people thought they were going to tell me how it was going to be. Ya know...you would think I could have one day right? I have always wanted a big wedding and loved the thought of all my family being there. Even when the place we had originally chose caught fire and we were limited on places at that time-I said I will make the best of it...the most important thing is I am marrying someone that I love more than anything and I will have the people I love there. But people still tried to bring me down-You and your kids will have their time. And then its like my baby shower....family was saying they werent going to come because of whatever reasons-honestly I think for their own selfish whiney reasons. But still, it hurt me, I show up to everything because I care about everyone. I was so upset. But I said the most important thing for me is that my memaw gets to be there. And I do appreciate everyone who came and made the special effort (jason and kristen) But even some of the people that were there, were the ones starting the bs. I finally said look come or dont come, Im tired of begging. I shouldnt have to. I am not expecting a gift..well no, I am-the gift of their presence. My sons birthday people pull the same stuff-but I realized it had nothing really to do with me-it was that they were mad at someone else in their family or their mom was mad at someone else in the family and since that person might be there or because I even said HI to them in the past month that means they cant come. I have nothing to do with it. So why should my husband son and myself be treated like crap. There are some family members that I choose not to associate with because they seem to destroy people in their path, and dont make good decisions that I dont want to be drug into...but I dont take things out on the kids. I will still go to their birthday parties and so on. I understand people not being able to come to things or get together for honest reasons-but just because your pissed at someone else doesnt mean that it should effect me because I might have said hi to them...
It really does break my heart that I text a relative to see about getting together for the freaking 20th time in 6 months at least. And they have the nerve to tell me that they are SOOO busy but I find out that they dont ever do anything but stay home and watch tv. I am not asking you to come to my place or purchase anything I will come to you, I will make the effort-but COME ON-how much effort do I have to make. No ONE here makes any effort to hang out with us, or call us to see if we would like to get together. And that makes me wonder why the heck are we sticking around, when I was only sticking around for family. Why do I make the effort just to be told how busy you are...why should I say lets get together in the next year and you tell me that you dont have time and dont forsee yourself having anytime in the next year. And tell me why you feel the need to pass on your bs to your kids? I have very ill feelings about my stepsons mother-however I wouldnt feel right to say anything about it to my kids because that is their brother (regardless of the fact that he isnt around and doesnt want to be!) but I wouldnt until they were adults or old enough to understand the facts. I dont know, I guess its just me. Delvin says dont worry about it...but I guess you would just have to be me. I guess I would have spent a little more time developing better friendships so that at least Delvin and I could have people to go to dinner with and for me to have someone that my kids could look onto. We have a few friends-and feel lucky to have them. Now if you do not live in the dfw area-this does not pertain to you, and it doesnt pertain to my siblings nor my parents really. Its actually been nice that we have gotten alot closer to my older brother and sister in law...its nice to get an invite from them sometimes to do something and its nice to have my direct families help when we need it as far as packing, helping with Hunter if we need a night out and so on-just sad that I have done for everyone but its not mutual.
Sorry for whoever has read this. I just have a heavy heart and before I go off on someone I better let it out.

Future Dallas Cowboy-(JASON REPRESENT!)

These are pictures I took of Hunter today. He was going with my mom out to my aunts and was SOOO excited to be getting out of the house. I havent felt up to doing too much that involves me getting out of the house unless I have to! So he has been getting cabin fever bad. He also LOVES his dallas cowboy jersey. Something about it-the feel of it or something but everytime he spots it in his clean folded laundry he grabs it and wants to wear it. When I put it on him he just rubs it constantly! Or maybe he is just seeing his future as Blade Curtis-Future Dallas Cowboys Player! Haha. Anyway he kept saying cheese really happily so we got some good pictures that I wanted to share. And Jason-Hunter is helping you REPRESENT!

Hunters first hair cut!

My baby got his first hair cut! I was a little worried that he would throw a fit during it just because someone is coming to his head with scizzors. I knew instantly that I wanted to take him somewhere that caters to kids and really makes the first hair cut special. So after some research, I found Cool Cuts for Kids! There are many locations, but luckily one very close to us. I have been hesitant about cutting his hair because thats his baby hair and I just love how his hair curls up in the back...BUT at 18 months, it was time!

Cool Cuts for Kids has an awesome set up. They have different cars the kids can sit in and for the bigger kids that come in that are too cool for that or well, too big...they have the reg chairs. You come in and the kids get to pick which movie they want to see. Hunter got Elmo. She put it in and we put him in the chair. Well he was all smiles because he loves cars (wheels) and he loves Elmo! She came at him with the scizzors and as I was holding my breath-nothing happened! He did so good. He just sat there playing in his car, eating his snack and watching tv. He laughed when she got the sheers after him. And then it she was done and he threw a fit when we pulled him from the seat. He didnt want to go. They had a cool train table set up with all the fixings and he loved that while we paid. BUt Delvin and I had a heck of a time prying him from the shop. They gave him a certificate of his first haircut with a lock of his hair and a place to put a photo. I will definetely be taking him there to get his hair cut for now on until he decides he is too big to go there!

my bad day

Well apparently I wasn't supposed to get out today...
After I left wal mart, I went by and picked up my mother and my little brother to come help me unload groceries since I was so hot...and my mom to sit in the truck with Hunter so that I didn't have to unload him just to take my brother and mom right back.
Ok...well I park my car in the driveway, get up the stairs and I have to go back downstairs to get my keys to get in the house, so I get in my truck...ask my mom to get out and hand me the basket I had in the back seat to help my brother haul groceries up, Mike was in the back end of the vehicle and anyway I pull my keys out, get out and went to get the basket then the car started rolling back really fast. I try to get in to do something, but it was so fast I couldnt...it drug me under across the street, my mom got flipped over and my little brother thank god he got out of the way, he was trying to stop it from the back, but we crashed into my neighbors contractors truck and thats when i was pulled off. Hunter was in his seat buckled in THANK GOD...my mom hurt her ankle and scraped up pretty bad, she is pretty sore, but ok and Mike is ok. I am so glad they were there to help me and Mike really stepped up for us. I got burnt pretty bad along my back end...Delvin took me to the er...the baby is ok...THANK THE LORD. I got pics of the baby and I am so happy to see the baby is fine and that the heart was beating fine. But like I said I was burnt pretty bad, they think I have a fracture in my tailbone, but cant do x rays and they said it will heal itself...my knees are messed up, one almost got ran over but not all the way under the wheel. and scraped up everywhere...BUT most importantly our baby is ok. And everyone else is ok. It could have been so much worse, but we were being watched over for sure. God is good. And the neighbors contractor was so nice, helped us out, helped my mom upstairs and wasn't even worried about his vehicle. They are really nice people.
The dealership filed a liability claim with Chrysler, they are coming out to inspect because there was injuries and damage of course...that's very dangerous. We have only had the vehicle for a few weeks. SO...anyway this sucks...I hope our vehicle gets completely looked-well it will, and the dealership said its up to us what we want to do with the vehicle. I will not settle until that vehicle is looked at completely. This is the second problem in a week.

Lucky Woman...

So...I had my engine light come on in my Acura, took it to get it checked out, come to find out, I needed a new transmission, and there was a recall for transmissions that year on my car. SO...we debated it and we had planned to get me a bigger vehicle next year anyway, so we figured why put out 4k for a transmission when we could spend that towards a new vehicle sooner than planned. So we have been looking like crazy for months. We have found a few good deals and missed out on them and we have been researching cars like crazy, looking at different recalls and stuff so we didnt run into that this time.
We literally looked at everything in the suv and minivan range because we wanted bigger, we are a growing family, we always have extra kids with us (nephews and so on) and we travel alot. So, anyway we looked at everything and then I had to stop by my sis in laws job to take her her phone, and she walked me over to the used car dealership to check out what they had. Anyway I was shown an 06 dodge durango...I then thought about it, and realized we never looked it up, never even thought about it. Anyway, I test drove it, fell in love. Delvin wouldnt come see it or anything til he researched it and I got my Acura detailed. So I left it and didnt think anything more of it. Well the next day I go get my car detailed just to have it ready. And he calls me on his way home from work and says baby see if your mom can keep Hunter lets go look at that car and if it doesnt work out, we can look at some others I have lined up!!! AWESOME!
So, we looked at it, he test drove it they cut us a really really good deal because Lisa has worked there so long and so on, and we had the trade in.
We are the proud owners of an 06 Dodge Durango Hemi V8, Seating for 8, built in dvd player, memory chairs, lumbar adjustment, heated seats, limited edition...options go on and on. We love it, cant wait to take it on a trip. Anyway, I am so proud, so happy, so blessed that we could work it in. Now its just going to take some getting used to, its so big. Hunter loves it and really likes the dvd player. We got him one for the back of the seat but he kicks it and pulls it down, he cant get to this!!!
Also, My brother and sister in law were effected by our bad storms last week. They had their ac unit catch on fire and all their electricity was cut off for safety and they have to replace their entire ac system had to get trees removed, and wont know what all is fried inside until they can get power back to their house. They were staying with us until insurance finally got them a hotel for a few days, and they brought their fan over and it was fried...so I can only imagine how the appliances will be. Its a blessing in a way because they will get a new ac unit and they could use the new appliances in the kitchen, but its money to put out that most people dont have lying around and it always sucks not being able to be in your house in your space in your routine. They might be coming back to stay with us again on sunday....and thats fine. We like having them around, plus Lisa helps out with cooking and she is a great cook. I love to cook, but sometimes I would rather not!! So keep them in your prayers, also us....we are trying to get a hold of our landlords...our hot water heater is out I guess, its new just replaced, but its hard going to take showers somewhere else everyday. and our microwave is out, also possums have gotten in our attic....so hopefulyl we can get them out here soon to take care of that.
But other than that, life is good...
